Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Manipulate and edit pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Trim footage segments
- Create rough and final cuts
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Digital versioning
- Aspect ratio conversions
- Asset Management: Naming convention & Material coding & filing
- Keep abreast of broadcast and advertising trends within industry best practice
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications/experience/skills:
- A tertiary qualification in Film Studies / Cinematography / Multimedia
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Outlook / Word / Excel etc.)
- Minimum 1-year working experience as a broadcast editor (entry level/graduate) in an Advertising Agency or similar environment (i.e. Radio)
- Solid experience with Digital technology and editing software packages (i.e. 3D; Lightworks; Adobe Premier; After Effects; Final Cut)
- A good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
- Strong time management skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
Demonstrable video editing with a strong portfolio/showreel
