This internship will offer hands-on experience in child welfare, crisis intervention, GBV, and supportive counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting survivors in assessing their needs and developing safety plans.
  • Providing emotional support to survivors during interviews and counseling sessions.
  • Helping clients access relevant services like legal aid and medical care.
  • Participating in community awareness programs on GBV.
  • Responding to calls and inquiries from children and young people.
  • Supporting case management activities.
  • Contributing to team discussions and developing outreach programs.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Degree in social work
  • Recent SACSSP council proof of payment
  • Strong communication skills and empathy
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
