This internship will offer hands-on experience in child welfare, crisis intervention, GBV, and supportive counseling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting survivors in assessing their needs and developing safety plans.
- Providing emotional support to survivors during interviews and counseling sessions.
- Helping clients access relevant services like legal aid and medical care.
- Participating in community awareness programs on GBV.
- Responding to calls and inquiries from children and young people.
- Supporting case management activities.
- Contributing to team discussions and developing outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Degree in social work
- Recent SACSSP council proof of payment
- Strong communication skills and empathy
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
