- Assisting with the processing of invoices and payments
- Processing of journals
- Ensuring that all payments and receipts (both AP and AR) are updated daily so that that all financial accounting transactions the team is responsible for are reflected in the trial balance
- Assistance with the clearance of the debtors and creditors age analysis
- Reconciliation on balance sheet accounts
- Assistance with reports
- Providing daily support on all outstanding queries from customers and suppliers as and when required
- Ad hoc accounting duties
- General assistance to the finance personnel.
Requirements for the role
- BCom Accounting degree
- BCom Honours (advantageous)
- No more than 1 year’s applicable experience, including in-service training, if applicable
- South African citizen with a valid ID book/card
- No criminal record
- Relevant working experience with an accounting package (e.g. SAP, Pastel, AccPac, IFS, etc.) would be advantageous
- An understanding of accounts payable and vendor management administration
- An understanding of preparation of bank and creditors reconciliations.
