MediaHeads 360 is searching for a driven and talented creative intern with a flair for commercial writing and a passion for bringing creative concepts to life in the world of advertising and media. The primary objective of this role is to create engaging client concepts, content, and campaign elements, in alignment with our sales strategy.

Growth path and future responsibilities

  • As a creative intern, you’ll work closely with our creative, campaign, and sales teams to develop the following skills. The goal is for you to grow into a role that includes:
  • Conceptualising and writing live and recorded commercials and promotions for clients.
  • Collaborating with the creative team to develop innovative content and compelling concepts that seamlessly integrate across TV, radio, and digital platforms.
  • Creating engaging brand stories that resonate with audiences.
  • Developing station promotions and translating briefs into compelling creative solutions.
  • Writing engaging social media and digital content.
  • Assisting with studio production, including directing voice-over artists and collaborating with sound engineers.
  • Actively participating in brainstorming sessions.
  • Contributing strategic creative content to MediaHeads 360’s marketing mix.
  • Identifying and applying creative trends and opportunities.
  • Managing multi-element campaigns with well-thought-out concepts.
  • Demonstrating strong copywriting skills through original, broad, and impactful work.
  • Presenting creative concepts and strategic thinking to clients.
  • Ensuring attention to detail across all deliverables.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Passion for writing and storytelling, with a willingness to learn and develop conceptual skills.
  • Ability to work in a team while being open to feedback.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A solid grasp of English and interest in developing copywriting skills.
  • Eagerness to engage with client needs.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in the South African media landscape and curiosity to learn more.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or a willingness to learn.
  • Recent graduate or student in media, marketing, communication, or a related field.
