Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and manage data from conservation and community initiatives.
• Organize datasets using database management tools.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and verification.
• Assist in data analysis to uncover trends and insights.
• Create data visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in collaboration with project managers.
• Provide data support for decision-making processes.
Requirements:
• Education:
• Matric certificate.
• Recently completed a qualification (Honours) in Data Science, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data management tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI) is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
• South African citizen, aged 18-27 by 30 August 2024.
• Unemployed as of 29 August 2024.
• Police clearance and COVID-19 vaccination certificate required.
• Not a previous YES4Youth placement.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data management tools.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
