This programme provides hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of payment services, offering insights into merchant support, financial transactions, payment technology, marketing strategy, and more.

Role Description

As one of 16 YES4Youth Interns at Network International, you will gain valuable exposure by supporting our teams in areas such as finance, merchant services, technology, marketing, operations, and customer support. Depending on your assigned department, you will have the opportunity to assist with payment acceptance solutions, financial reporting, marketing campaigns, transaction management, and technical support, as well as help with the ongoing enhancement of consumer payment systems.

This is a full-time, on-site internship position based in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day tasks within your assigned department (e.g., merchant support, financial analysis, marketing strategy, technical troubleshooting).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

• Participate in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving to ensure smooth transaction processes.

• Provide customer support to merchants and financial institutions.

• Contribute to special projects and initiatives within your department.

Departments:

• Finance: Support with financial reporting, transaction analysis, and budget management.

• Merchant Services: Assist in managing relationships with merchants and providing support for payment acceptance solutions.

• Technology: Contribute to the development and maintenance of payment systems, technical troubleshooting, and innovation projects.

• Marketing: Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and digital marketing efforts to promote our services.

• Operations: Help streamline operational processes and ensure the efficient delivery of payment services.

• Customer Support: Provide frontline assistance to customers and help resolve payment-related queries.

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge or interest in finance, technology, marketing, payment processing, consumer payments, or financial services.

• Strong data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

• Keen attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program.

• Prior experience (internship or similar) in financial services, technology, marketing, or the payment industry is advantageous but not required.

Eligibility

• Must be a South African citizen aged between 18-34.

• No prior work experience is required, although a passion for financial services, technology, or marketing is a plus.
