The primary objective of the internship is to provide graduates with the opportunities to learn and develop skills across various Sage Products according to company specifications. During the internship it is mandatory for trainees to obtain Sage Product certifications as assigned to them by team leader.

This experience will equip them to support the team in:

• Installations;

• Setups;

• Support;

• Training &

• Participation in Team Brainstorming Sessions.

Duties & Responsibilities

At the completion of the Internship Program candidates must be able to:

• Conduct an Analysis of client business processes and functional requirements; define requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow technical solutions proposal development and document these requirements.

• Formulate solutions that will meet the client’s business needs and expectations in an efficient and timely manner.

• Conduct project scoping and planning, as well as create successful implementation and provision support.

• Keep the client informed of the progress made on project and manage any client requests to ensure client satisfaction.

System Implementation and Support

• Conduct UAT and train users on a new system to enable them to become self-sufficient in the use of the ERP software which has been configured for their purpose.

• Implement Various Sage Products I.e. Sage 300C, Sage 300 People, Sage X3- requires scoping of project, designing and customising the solution to suit clients’ requirements and specifications in line with sound Accounting/Financial/Human Resource principles.

• Client Support as and when required

• Ensure a smooth integration of business processes after go-live, providing hands-on support to the customer on adoption of new system and during month end processes.

• Implement effective solutions to manage and resolve clients’ concerns, challenges and pain points with installed products. This includes handling questions, solving problems, creating reports, performing upgrades, as well as ensuring the client’s general satisfaction with the software and company.

• Configurations based on quarterly Impact Releases

• Resolve user and/or system errors timeously.

• Regular weekly status updates to client on the project plan.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
