Apply now for the RCL FOODS Procurement Internship 2025. RCL FOODS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern (Fixed term contract) to join our Speciality Division. The role will be based in Centurion and will report to the Senior Buyer. 

The intern will assist in providing administrative support to the Procurement / Supply chain Department with specific responsibility for administering Contract support and purchasing advise; calling off from loaded contracts; and responding to related inquiries. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset and effective time management skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Procurement/Supply Chain Qualification (Diploma/Degree)
  • Knowledge of MS Office 
  • Organisational and Interpersonal Skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General Administration
  • Ensure that workflows are loaded on a timely basis and that all prices are implemented well before the effective date.
  • Process all new Vendor Take On forms and that contracts are in place.
  • Assist the Senior buyer with compiling report for management.
  • Assist the Procurement and Supply chain department with efficiency projects.
  • Assist the buying team with daily planning.

 Information and Data Management

  • Capture data accurately and regularly onto the required ERP system to enable reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
  • Ensure admin / Workflows are approved and followed up for contract management to be in place.

 Teamwork and self-Management:

  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritizing, and self-development.
  • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
  • Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.
  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritizing, and self-development.
  • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
  • Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.
