City of Johannesburg SHE and COID Internships 2025

 The City of Johannesburg is offering an internship program as an intervention to address the demand from tertiary institutions for students to gain on-the-job exposure. This is a requirement for academic qualifications or as experiential training after completion of studies. The City is committed to providing work-based training for students.

Vacancy Details:

Department: Group Corporate and Shared Services

Branch: Group SHE & FCM

Designation: Internship: SHE & COID

Remuneration:

  • For applicants with completed qualifications (min 360 credits): R9,960.45 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
  • For enrolled students: R3,500.00 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)

Location: 27 Stiemens Street, JD House, Braamfontein, Johannesburg

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Business Administration / Public Administration (NQF level 6)
  • Confirmation letter from the institution
  • Computer literacy in MS Office Applications
  • Only City of Johannesburg residents will be considered

Primary Function: Conduct admin activities assigned by the Head of Department, Group SHE. Ensure the success of the council’s Occupational Health and Safety programmes.
