The intern shall:
- Liaise with the implementation of Brand/Marketing requirements
- Support where necessary with Stakeholder relations and communications service providers and stock
- Support in arranging the logistics for the provision of services/stock
- Support in executing marketing activities according to plan
- Support in distributing, safekeeping and taking stock of branding materials
- Support in executing marketing/events/communication activities according to plan
- Support in organising and assembling exhibition materials
- Taking/arranging for photographs for front covers and editorials for placement in publications
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
General support management
- Support stakeholder relations, events and communications personnel in all deliverable planning and preparation as required
- Support the department in keeping track, set-up and management of branding material, stock, in relation to stakeholder engagement, event management, branding, communications etc.
Supplier management
- Support the department in the planning and preparing tender/bid process & service provider requirements
- Support in managing supplier deliveries and stock
- Support the management of contracted Services and procured items
- Support the implementation of actions/changes with regard to events, projects and items required by the SRC Specialist.
- Support the checking of quality and other metrics according to Service Level Agreements.
- Report on event issues and support issue management where necessary.
- Report on non-compliance to corporate identity standards.
Event management
Support in Arranging events (e.g. summit, conference) as follows:
- Overseeing service providers
- Oversees that protocol is adhered to during events
- Making arrangements for spokespersons training interventions
- Coordinating/ assisting with youth activation logistics
- Arranging for gifts/marketing & exhibition materials
- Support in Coordinating with stakeholders in the process
- Following-up and checking arrangements
- Escalates complex issues and queries to management
- Monitor smooth execution during events and assist where necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12
- MS Office 365 package
- Experience in event management would be preferable
Minimum one (1) year of experience in support functions.
Additional Requirements:
- Prepared to work overtime
- Ability to engage at all management levels
- Very good communication (verbal and written)
