The L&D Intern’s primary responsibility is to provide professional and effective administrative & operational support to the learning and development team. As an L&D Intern, you will be expected to carry out a range of duties to support the organisation's L&D function.

Responsibilities:

Here are some of the things that you can expect to get involved in:

  • Assist the team with formalisation and documentation of training material.
  • Assist the team with any adoption strategies for learning on new products, platforms, and solutions for training purposes.
  • Monitor and follow up with individuals on their completed training courses & exams
  • Assist the team with any administrative tasks related to Training logistics (Internal & External)
  • Assist with the distribution of any regular & Ad-Hoc learning and development surveys
  • Assisting the P&T and L&D Team with any administrative tasks related to their involvement in any special projects.
  • Continual review and maintenance of the L&D website/SharePoint site
  • Managing Training Mailbox; being accountable on select items/flagging e-mails/categorising/responding to general inquiries.
  • Assist the team with any research on solutions and product improvement
  • Assist the team with coordinating coaching and development / lunch and learn sessions / Exam and Course bookings and any other internal bespoke training programmes.

Qualifications, Qualities & Experience:

  • You will hold as a minimum, a diploma (NQF level 5) ideally in a 'people-focussed' field of study e.g. HR or Organisational Psychology.
  • Existing work experience is not essential however if you have held a job down whilst studying or undertaken any volunteering that will be a great demonstration of your initiative.
  • Competitive drive to work hard and perform on the job.
  • Willingness to contain an open mind to learn new things and impart that knowledge onto others where applicable
  • Outgoing and able to connect with others to add to the culture of the business
  • Basic problem-solving ability
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good written communication
  • Team player with a good understanding of taking ownership and accountability
  • Ability to keep calm and remain positive and responsive under pressure
  • Honest, responsible, diligent, organized, and open to expanding your knowledge on the business core functionalities
  • Willingness to gain the right skills and follow guidelines in place to improve or upskill in your performance
