Key responsibilities
- Create engaging, platform-appropriate content for the Food For Mzansi Group’s major social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, and more).
- Develop multimedia content, including videos, reels, podcasts, and graphics, that resonate with our audiences.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns to support editorial goals and audience engagement.
- Monitor audience trends and behaviours to ensure content is timely and relevant.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to repurpose content and develop new storytelling formats.
- Track and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights.
- Assist with brainstorming and planning new content ideas aligned with the Food For Mzansi Group’s brand as well as client brands.

Required:
- A tertiary qualification in journalism, media, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their unique requirements (e.g., Facebook video specs, TikTok trends).
- Working skills in multimedia recording and editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent tools).
- Creative mindset with a strong sense of current social and cultural trends.
- Ability to analyse social media data and adapt strategies to optimise audience engagement.
- Highly organised and able to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Driver’s licence preferred.
