Apply now for the GreenCape Communications Graduate Trainee 2024. This is a full-time contract position, until for 12 months from date of appointment. Contract renewal will depend on performance and the HR requirements of the organisation at the time.
There will be a three-month probation period for this position.
Qualifications and Education
Preferred Degrees:
- Communications
- Brand Communication
- Marketing Management (with a focus on digital marketing, events management, or information systems)
Alternative Degrees:
- Environmental Sustainability
- Environmental Sciences (with relevant communication management experience)
- Knowledge and Experience
- Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience preferred, but not essential.
Skills:
- Proficiency in online content management tools (e.g., social media, WordPress)
- Familiarity with digital marketing campaign tools (e.g., Google AdWords)
- Understanding of hybrid event management (in-person and online platforms like Zoom, MS Teams)
- Interest in the green economy, sustainability, or social development

The following will be an advantage:
• A keen interest in the green economy, demonstrated through volunteering
involvement or job experience.
• A portfolio of written content that has been published on external
platforms (i.e. news releases, feature articles, blogposts etc.)
• Examples of designed collateral or video content produced.
• Links to social media accounts that the candidate was responsible to
community manage. These can also be personal social media accounts.
