Internship Objectives:
- Gain a deep understanding of the mohair industry
- Experience working at brokers
- Learn the art of classing and binning mohair
- Participate in on-farm activities with Angora farmers
- Develop skills and knowledge about animal husbandry and farming practices
- Work alongside farmers and industry experts in a dynamic and supportive environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations at mohair brokers
- Support classing and binning of mohair
- Spend time on Angora farms, supporting farmers with their daily tasks and learning about animal care
- Gain practical experience in a real-world agricultural setting
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12
- Advantageous: A Diploma in Agriculture or related field
- Own Vehicle: Must have access to your own transportation
- Drivers License: Must possess a valid driver’s license
