30 X Netflix Screen Pathways Traineeship Programme 2025

Netflix has unveiled its 2026 Screen Craft Pathways Traineeship Programme, a fresh internship initiative designed to nurture emerging talent in the film and television industry. Developed in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism & Film Authority and the Gauteng Film Commission, the programme is now open to graduates who are deeply passionate about storytelling and the craft of screen production.

30 candidates will be chosen and will receive:

  • A competitively-remunerated production role on a film or TV show managed by a Netflix-affiliated partner for the duration of the project.
  • Hands-on experience to prepare for long-term careers in production or post-production.
  • Mentorship and supervision from established industry professionals.
  • Access to Netflix-led technical production and skills-development workshops.
  • Opportunities for professional networking and long-term career development.
  • The contract will last for approximately nine to 12 months.

You need to:

  • Be a South African citizen or permanent resident, aged 18 to 35 years.
  • Hold a degree or diploma in  Film, Television or related field.
  • Be an entry-level candidate with less than two years of professional experience in the industry.
  • Applicants will be required to submit links to existing work or supporting documentation to validate their credentials and demonstrate relevant experience.

Closing date: Friday 14 November 2025 at 16h00.
