Apply for the Brundtland Junior Software Developer Internship 2026. We are looking for analytically strong candidates with a proficient programming background to join our team. The candidate will assist in the design of features within an overall larger system.
Our vision is to assist clients in automating sustainability-related disclosure and simplifying greenhouse gas and carbon tax reporting. By joining us in this role, the candidate would gain experience in coding and environmental sustainability best practices.
Candidates
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. You have an understanding of PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, or are willing to learn. You have knowledge of good coding practices (indentation, naming conventions, commenting, code structure, version control, etc).
- You have hands-on experience with version control systems, for e ample Git and GitHub, and understand how to collaborate effectively using these tools. You are familiar with debugging and resolving issues to ensure functionality and reliability of features and systems.
- You have a passion for understanding climate change and sustainability and wish to grow your knowledge in the areas of greenhouse gas and ESG reporting.
- You are proactive, enjoy working in teams, have a good grip on numbers and data handling. You are happy to commute to our offices in Rosebank.

Your responsibilities
- Under the guidance of our lead programmers, you will be assisting with PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS coding and learn on the job.
- You will be working on our cloud solution for managing sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions specifically.
