Sysmex, a Global Health Care Company in the Medical Diagnostics Industry have an internship opportunity in their South Africa affiliate (Sysmex South Africa) for a Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance Intern for a duration of 1-year.
This Internship requires a self- motivated and independent person who is Computer Proficient, systematic, has some understanding of standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required for distribution and the market.
The Intern will work alongside the RAQA Manager and RAQA Specialist who will provide the relevant mentoring to:
• Shadowing members of the RAQA department as they perform their duties.
• Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
• Support product registrations
• Maintain product registration license database
• Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
• Log and investigate quality customer complaints
• Coordinate non-conformance issues
• Issue field communication (PINs, FSCA etc.)
• Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
• Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
• Assist with supplier and distributor improvement project
• Training coordination and organizing training interventions to meet quality standards
• Support on-site audits conducted by internal and external providers
• Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Responsible for RA/QA document Management system
• Champion and lead quality awareness projects
• Flexibility and a can-do approach to tasks and the ability to adapt to a changing and challenging environment.
Candidate Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills - verbal and written
• Data collection, management and analysis
• Customer Service Orientation
• Required language is English and other local language skills desirable
• No experience required
